Empowering Youth to Stay in School and Achieve Success
Supporting youth to stay engaged in school, build workplace skills, and access meaningful employment opportunities. This brings together education support, career readiness services, and work experience programs tailored for young people ages 13–20.
All in For Youth
All In For Youth (AIFY) supports youth to stay engaged in their education and be successful in school.
All In For Youth Success Coaches provide students the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with a diverse group of supportive adults. Through case management, coaching, and mentorship, Success Coaches and students set and work toward common goals.
Operating in 13 schools across the Calgary Board of Education, All In For Youth Success Coaches support students by identifying, navigating, and/or removing barriers to school completion, ensuring access to basic needs, addressing academic needs, and connecting to other physical and emotional supports. Success Coaches also support students in connecting to post-secondary and employment resources and funding opportunities.
Coaches work alongside United Way partners, community supports, school administration, and counsellors, as well as student learning teams to identify students who might require AIFY supports in helping them find the best path forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
All youth must be at least 13 years old on or before June 25, 2024. There are no exceptions to this.
There are a variety of different positions available for applicants to apply to.
All positions are responsible for the cleanliness of the Stampede Grounds. Positions can depend on age, these are outlined in the job postings.
There are 3 youth positions and adults have 3 positions to apply for.
Please only apply to the job posting(s) that is/are applicable to your age.
Full time positions work for 10 out of the 11 days of Stampede.
Part time positions only work for 3-5 days to cover shifts for when full time crews have their day off.
The part time positions are a great way to test out what working at Stampede is or if you are unable to commit to the duration of Stampede.
This depends on what kind of experience you are looking for.
The crew member and night position are great for those who are looking to gain experience and make some money. The only difference between the two is that night crew positions work later into the night (9pm-3am) and are on site after the park closes.
The supervisor position is ideal for those who are interested in working with youth, providing guidance and supervision & developing leadership skills.
You will get a confirmation email when you apply saying that your application has been received.
You do not need to email us to make sure that we have your application.
We will ONLY email successful candidates for an interview towards the end of April. If you are not contacted by the first week of May, we encourage you to apply next year or keep your eyes on our Instagram for future opportunities.
You do not need to apply again. Email us at Stampede@growwithtrellis.ca about it and we can fix it from our end.
The Stampede Work Experience Program is a great opportunity to put paid experience on your resume, work in a supportive and fast-paced environment, and gain skills such as teamwork, communication and leadership.
Many graduates of the Stampede Work Experience Program have used the experience and updated resume to obtain employment in the community, some gain employment with Stampede and some become an adult supervisor the next year if old enough.
With hiring over 250 youth and 40 adults, Trellis decides the schedule for all crews. Scheduled days off cannot be changed.
All crew members will be paid through cheque once stampede is over. Supervisors can be paid through direct deposit.
Please note that Alberta labour standards outlines minimum wage for under 18 is $13/hr and over 18 is $15/hr.
Trellis provides compensation above the minimum standards. Every position pays differently. Please refer to the job posting for the pay.
You will be provided with a Stampede Staff ID which will allow you to enter the park at no cost.

Yes – this year, training consists of two parts.
The online portion will take place in the last week of June. The in-person training will take place at Stampede Park on July 3.
All successful hires MUST attend 1 of the 2 sessions offered on the evenings of June 25th or June 26th.
Further details about the training will be provided to successful applicants upon hiring.
We are unable to accommodate requests to be on the same crew with your friends.
We will consider requests for family members to work during the same time, not on the same crew, to support family transportation.
A portion of the uniform is provided by Trellis. Trellis provides 1 shirt and 1 hat to all employees. All employees are required to wear running shoes (not Tom’s or other unsafe canvas shoes) and full length, clean, unripped, blue jeans.
Shorts and Capri pants are not permitted to be worn on shift for safety reasons. If there are any cultural reasons that would hinder the ability to meet these uniform expectations, please email us to discuss accommodations.
The expectation is that everyone will arrive for work in a freshly laundered t-shirt, hat, and full-length blue jeans. If an employee shows up for work without clean or proper attire, they will be asked to return home to get proper clothing or have someone bring it to them. They will not be permitted to work until in full uniform and this will be unpaid time.
Everyone is required to bring their own lunch, as well as a water bottle that can be clipped to your belt.
Lunches must be brought from home, as lunch breaks are not sufficient time to purchase and eat lunch on site. We suggest sandwiches, veggies, fruit, etc. We will not have a fridge to store lunches so pack an ice pack if you would like it to stay cool.
Phones must be kept on vibrate and in pockets during working hours. No headphones are allowed while working.
Trellis and the Calgary Stampede are not responsible for any lost or stolen items and there is no area to lock up belongings. We encourage everyone to only bring food and a water bottle to work.
