What an incredible day. Our annual Report to Community was more than event, it was an opportunity to come together with our community of supporters and celebrate everything we have built together. This event is our chance each year to share openly about where we’ve been, where we’re headed and how every act of kindness and generosity helps people in our city grow, heal and flourish.

The day was filled with thoughtful discussions and inspiring stories. Our partner panel session hosted by Jeff Dyer, our CEO, featured three incredible speakers - Kenya Rasmussen (Strategy Manager with Accenture), Dave Ericson (Principal Consultant with Hillcrest), and Dr. Cheryl Macleod (Registered Psychologist with Family Psychology Place) - who explored what it means to create meaningful impact together, from taking care of our people to building workplaces where staff feel supported, valued, and equipped to help others do the same. They also spoke about the power of partnership, how when organizations, communities and teams come together with a shared purpose, we can serve people better and create lasting change.

As we marked five years of growth, the theme that echoed through the room was gratitude - for the partnerships, collaboration and small, meaningful moments that have helped us get here. Our Set to Grow plan continues to light the path forward, reminding us that growth happens when we care for one another, and that community is something we build together, one connection at a time.

We were also lucky to hear from three incredible Trellis team members: Osasu Egho, Kimmy Alcorn and Ieuan Roberts, who shared powerful stories from the front lines. They spoke about students and families moving from homelessness to stability, and of youth finding their voice and confidence. Their experiences highlighted how growth often begins with a single act of care and how those efforts can transform lives in lasting ways. We then saw that impact come to life through a youth living at Orion, our affordable housing program, who shared how finding a safe home and meaningful connections helped her build stability, purpose. We got to see the real impact of our work, as staff across the organization shared both the numbers and the stories behind them in our “Because of You” video. It was a vivid reminder of how many children, youth, and families are thriving because of the generosity of our donors and supporters.

Because of our volunteers who give their time.
Because of our employees who show up every day with heart and compassion.
Because of our donors and partners who make our programs possible.
And because of you - for showing up, engaging, and believing in the power of community.
Because of you, Trellis grows and community flourishes.

We want to express our gratitude to the Trellis Society Board Members, our Knowledge Keepers Council, the Trellis Foundation Board of Directors, and our network of partners and supporters who walk with us on this journey of building a community where everyone can flourish.
